Falliren Rytelus

"I'm a sharpshooter, a silent intruder, and a dual-wielder of fast maneuver"

Knight

♣ Unconventional Chivalry ♣

ㅤ♣ㅤ Of a typically Elven physique, Falliren is lithe and athletic. Bedecked in a ridiculous assortment of gems and jewelry that gild a colorful set of clothes, Falliren is ever the fashionista. His pale skin--assailed easily by the Sun--is stretched over a mischievous visage; there's always a cheeky smile. He keeps his silvery hair cut to a medium length, groomed to whatever style is in vogue at the time. His wide eyes are a deep green, much like the jade on his many necklaces and rings. Falliren is a knight just not a typical one. Preferring stealth and agility, he stands out from his armored ilk. His lofty ideals can suggest knighthood, but his genteel demeanor and gaudy style certainly distinguishes him as an obnoxious highborn. ㅤ♣ㅤ

Fallirenㅤ grew up in a noble family; a minor house serving as middling administrators to the Valkian Realm. Living in the sprawling capital of Mariza, he was surrounded by the quagmire of politics. He grew to resent the insincerity of politicking and the demands of a highborn career, especially the rigidity of it all. Rather than exploiting the wealth of career opportunities afforded to him, Falliren blew off his classes and set out to conquer every bar, ballroom and tavern in the city. What annoyed his family the most was how he squandered his own talents. A promising student but only if he cared, giving his attention solely to subjects that interested him, like swordsmanship or literature. Eventually and inevitably, there was a falling out with the rest of the Rytelus clan. Perhaps he was taking too many thespian classes instead of equestrian ones? Or was it his hobby for cat-burglary and pickpocketing against the other houses? He left for the Reach--for the fun of a new adventure, yes--but also to fulfill a deeper duty, one he seldom shares with others. falliren has numerous faults as many quickly discover. He's annoying to be around, has a bad habit with levity, an obnoxious showman, terribly foppish, and ever the cheeky one. But he has perhaps one redeeming quality: a devotion to his moral code and the ideals of chivalry (or his interpretation of it). He deeply values honesty. Not in the sense that one should always say the truth even if it is blunt or rude, but never pretend to be one's friend or make empty promises. Of course, being a knight, oaths are to be kept! He dreads people who flake out. By extension, friendship/fellowship/camaraderie is held in high regard; one must always have their companion's back. He is very open-minded to people and new experiences, appreciating others who share the same outlook. Having been surrounded by conceited aristocrats who constantly judged, Falliren vowed never to be so judgemental although he finds this oath under constant strain. But his desire for thrills can eclipse his moral compass. Even though he knows it's wrong and will try his best to stay true, it can get the better of him. Despite his earnest commitment to sincerity, Falliren guards himself from any type of emotional vulnerability beyond a surface level connection, burying it under layers of raillery and lightheartedness. Even to his closest friends, it's difficult to get a real answer. ♣ Likes ♣
Socializing, attending lively events, meeting and making new friends.
Adventuring! Or other exciting things. He's a thrill-junkie especially if the stakes are high and there's danger to it. Unfortunately one of his favorite thrills was cat-burglary. Not against commoners but other noblemen who he found irritating, many of whom he met during those dreaded dinner receptions. An outdoorsman! Or so he likes to think. He could never spend weeks on end out in the wilderness, it'd get far too dirty for his liking. But escaping to the woods and hermiting for a few days was a favorite way to evade the Rytelus family. The humanities: writing, reading, poetry, literature, history. Can't forget music and art. Was fashion mentioned already? And gambling... too bad it's not a skill of his, God knows he could use a few wins (his pockets surely do).♣Dislikes♣
Boring people, especially if they're so self-serious.
He loathes mathematics and is pathetic with calculations, but pretends this isn't true.Filth! He'll forgive a pauper for being ragged, but for everyone else, he expects a level of cleanliness. He's a germ-freak who takes forever in the shower, stressing and panicking over being clean.Falliren does not like his middle name, he won't even list it on the character profile! Only his cousin knows what is and it's the one thing that gets to him.

Relations

ㅤ♣Blytheㅤ - If altruism had a face, it would be yours. For once, my outgoingness has paid off because I have found my true sister! And you have found a loyal knight by your side, an obnoxious but helpful little brother. Cheers, Blythe! I will repay the kindness you hath shown me! I pray that you remain by my side because I shan't leave yours.ㅤ♣Lucianㅤ - My cheekiness and trickery has aroused episodes of irritation and ire from you on many occasions. I hope you've come to understand that I was only being playful. There's just a fire about you that I find intoxicating and I got carried away... I know you'll never feel the same way, and although I dream sometimes that you'd change your mind, I've come to accept this reality. I only ask that you keep me by your side; I want to be more than just 'tolerated'. I'd still do anything for you... even if it's gone unnoticed...♣Gametris - The budding adventurer and someone who shares my whimsy! The Spire would've become much more dreary and dull without your ebullience. You're one of the few who accepts my high-fives without a scoff or lecture. If you'd permit, I shall remain to impart some knightly wisdom and class! I will teach you the ways of chivalry! ... and sneakery. I've always been the youngest but after you've come into my life, I realize what it's like to have a little brother.ㅤ♣Iskvandarㅤ - It's wonderful that I've found an old friend in the Spire, especially one who shares a penchant for pageantry and decorum. We ought to discuss our wardrobes more often. Anyhow, I have your back, Isky! If anymore minstrels try to steal from you, I will steal from them in kind.♣♣♣♣Avina - I don't know what I've done to earn your devotion. I fear it is misplaced but I'm honourbound to reward you with more than just gratitude. I strive to live up to the faith you've placed in me. As with all my friends and family, I will come to your aid in a heartbeat! You can doubt my intelligence, you can doubt my motives, but be certain of this: I will do anything for you, sister!ㅤ♣Marcelㅤ - All those precious moments, that night at the festival, that dance on the balcony, it was all a 'mistake' to you... You never afforded me the chance to show you my tenderness, you always kept me shut out and then you so coldly dismiss it all as a mistake. You weren't listening to anything I said, you never cared, but I gave you my full attention! You fled a life as Valkian nobility to find your own path divorced of these expectations. But you're no different from the aristocracy you detest, you're just a cruel as the lot of them. I hate you... I wish I could say that wholeheartedly but there's still a lingering fondness I can't shake. Just stay away from me.Vanyel - I never imagined our relationship would evolve the way it has. I thought you were nothing more than a mere scoundrel who needed humbling. But after I delivered such humility in a victorious duel, I've discovered a fun and friendly side to you. And now you're my magic-mentor! I will become your best student! Well, you've never had a student before--BUT I will be so incredibly studious, that I will set a remarkably high-standard for all your future pupils to live up to!♣♣♣

ㅤElovaㅤ - I cannot blame you for the vendetta you have against me. If somebody attacked my sibling, I would respond with the same venom. 'tis a shame you fail to see the righteousness of my actions however. Your brother is a fraud, a snake in the grass.

ㅤCorwin - Clever Corwin, never borin'. If only I had your luck at the tables... Worry not! I forgive thee for the severe examination of my character! Most of your conclusions were wrong anyhow and besides, you've compensated with your friendliness. May we meet again at the Lodge! And sorry about the prank with your tonic, I did not think you'd need it THAT much.

♣ㅤAnwar - A rare stroke of luck, one I have already squandered... judging how I've driven others way, I can only deduce that I scared you off too. Perhaps I was too obnoxious? Too irksome. If I did something wrong, I'd like to know. Things were going so swimmingly after all.

ㅤ♣Leifore - As the common saying goes, you are the 'diamond in the rough' in an otherwise dreadful month. The Spire needs somebody with your appreciation for lavish but cultured appearances. But most importantly, I need your gentle kindness in these troubled times. You consoled me during my episode of grief and I am deep in your debt. Do not hesitate to call upon me, friend! I will certainly call upon you for more jewelry.

Parsnip - I realize that I am only a few steps away from becoming you. If this were to happen, people would find me funny for once. But then I'd lose my color and eccentricity... not that those have ever helped me. Regardless, we ought to be closer friends! At the Lodge, I hope to see you again.

Helara - I accuse her of foolhardiness and everybody is shocked by this assessment... Have we forgotten that she led an insurrection against the government?! You have individual prowess but I don't trust you to lead on the field. Behind that veneer of aloof professionalism, you're a foolhardy and glory-seeking corporal just like the others commanding the Militia.

Maliketh - The pillar of chivalry, the most knightly of knights, I am honoured that you have noticed my qualities! Apologies for that arrow, I was borrowing a rather shabby bow. If you permit me on more of your adventures, I can show you that a knight doesn't need a steed and shining armour to achieve success.

Sidra - Someone who is as devilishly as I; who cares as deeply about fashion and appearances. We ought to become closer friends! I'm not sure how you bear Archelos and I wish you all the best in that regard. Now that I'm initiated in the arcane, you could become my new partner-in-crime.

Archelos - I cannot lie—the code of Chivalry forbids it—but 'tis a joy to tease you and poke-fun, even if it means having tea poured all over my robes... Believe it or not, I do wish to be friends. You and I could form quite the adventuring duo! You're the brawn and I'll have my bow drawn. A master plan!

♣Hazel - That was an exhilarating chase. You're swift--incredibly agile. If it weren't for my magical trickery, you would have certainly won that pursuit. But it has made me realize how much of a lovely friend you've become. From the pie incident to the Marcel-debacle, you're still offering friendship and help. Your devotion will be rewarded, a Knight's promise!
